The  Resort

I know it seems to be a lot to read, but  READ IT .!! We recommend you stay at our hotel so you won't have to pay a $100 entrance fee per person to attend the wedding! But if you are willing to pay the entrance fee, go ahead and book a better resort nearby! We will be happy as long as you make it to the wedding!  REMEMBER that the Dominican Republic is not The United States, so please lower your expectations regarding accommodations. We chose an affordable hotel, so our friends and family could attend.

We did all the homework so it was easier for you to understand the resort and how to book it.
You can book the hotel directly through the hotel's website (which is the cheapest way), or you can get a bundle (flight and hotel) through Expedia! Some days one website has the rooms cheaper than the other! (if the hotel's website doesn't show the rooms you want, it's because they sold them out and you will have to use another website to book them! But through the hotel's website is always cheaper!). We will leave the link here but promise you will read everything we wrote before going to the links and booking it.. ok?  OK..!

Make sure you choose the right dates! The price difference for the rooms between now and May, vary significantly!

Location
The resort is located in Bávaro Beach, that's approximately a 20-min drive from the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).

Description
It's an > ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT < that features 1,128 guest suites in 44 two-story white bungalows surrounded by tropical gardens and tall palm trees and "trams" that shuttle guests around the resort. (Yes! It's huge!) However, It has 3 sides:

  1. THE LEVEL (ADULTS ONLY): located at melia caribe tropical:
→ IMPORTANT:  If you are picky about where you stay at and you don't have kids, we recommend you stay at THE LEVEL ADULTS ONLY.. (there are about 344 of these rooms and they book fast) if you decide to stay here book it ASAP.

"It's a boutique hotel within the resort" This side has the best reviews (almost 5 stars) and everyone agrees that staying at THE LEVEL is the best decision you can make! It is a newer building within the resort so everything is supposed to be updated. They focus on personalized attention and superb services and you get to enjoy exclusive spaces and services that are only for guests staying at THE LEVEL:

  • Access to VIP lounge with private check-in, continental breakfast, free Internet, tea and coffee service, premium drinks and snacks all day, national and international press.
  • Rooms located in a privileged area only for adults.
  • Special amenities (private adults only pool, private adults only beach, etc)
  • Access to Cuatro, their adults-only restaurant with a wide range of culinary and recreational options.
  • Room service from 7 am to 11 pm
 > Everyone staying at THE LEVEL has access to the whole resort <

Rooms offered at THE LEVEL:
- Any room that says: THE LEVEL ADULTS ONLY

    2.  THE LEVEL , section for families:
→ IMPORTANT:  If you are picky about where you stay at and you have kids, we recommend you stay at THE LEVEL, in the section that's for families..

This is for guests that want to be able to have access to everything I mentioned above, but have kids. You can book a room at THE LEVEL FAMILY SECTION and go everywhere at the hotel, but your kids (under 18) WON'T BE ALLOWED to go to the adults only spaces and amenities. So if from time to time you plan on leaving the kids in day care to enjoy the level adults only pool or the level adults only beach, or the level adults only restaurant, or you just want to stay at a newer more updated side and have the VIP treatment that staying at THE LEVEL conveys, this is your side!

The 2 rooms offered at THE LEVEL family section are:
- THE LEVEL junior suite
- THE LEVEL grand suite

  3.  MELIA CARIBE TROPICAL:
→ IMPORTANT:  If you are NOT picky about where you stay at, welcome! this is your side!  > Guests staying at MELIA CARIBE TROPICAL do not have access to THE LEVEL amenities and/or services <

This side has O.K. reviews (about 3.4 stars) but it's more affordable than "the level sides", by staying here you could save about $50 to $65 per night (depending on the day and time you book it). If you don't mind about how old and outdated the building is, because you are gonna spend little to no time inside the room, because we are in an all inclusive hotel and you have a lot to drink and to do outside, then this is your side!

The rooms offered on this side do not have the word "the level" in them.

The resort in general has:
Restaurants and Bars
  • 2 buffet style restaurants
  • 12 specialized à la carte restaurants
  • 13 bars

* Child Care
The hotel's Flintstones Land has daily activities and meals for children. Kid's Clubs are available for age groups ranging from infants and toddlers through kids and tweens from 10am-5pm. Parents must provide diapers and formula for children in the Baby Rock Club (4 months to 4 years old).   >For more info contact the hotel.

and a lot more, but for all that info you can go to their website!
